Lost your other mail but read it.

Now I tried again and oops the modem is there!!! Don't know what the hell I've
done yesterday evening. Sound gets interrupted during modem startup. Kppp
doesn't get a dialtone. And  wvdial says "no carrier".

Figured out that using yast after configuring with "hsfconfig" will change
 the link /dev/modem. I'm using a second normal modem on /dev/ttyS0 already.
 Changing it manually back to /dev/ttySHSF0 had no effect. Don't know why,
 but running hsfconfig again fixes everything. That's probably what happened
 yesterday already.

Ok, the modem is there, but I still can't dial.
