[hsflinux] No connect on first dial attempt

Hi,

I recently installed the latest hsf drivers for my Smart
Cobra Lite 56K. Every time I try to connect, it does not
connect on the first attempt. It picks up the line, and
listens to the dialtone for about a minute. Then it drops
it,  picks it up again and dials successfully. 

Anyone have any cure for this? I am sending ATX3 as init
string.
