[hsflinux] No dialtone

Did you make sure e.g. with Debians "modconf" that the modules are
actually loaded?

If this doesn't help either, you should report not just some user land
messages, but some kernel logs, like dmesg, /var/log/* and the ones
described in the INSTALL file.
