[hsflinux] no dialtone message calling from Italy

Hi,

this is almost certainly because of the RELAYS and/or FLAGS settings.

If you have the Windows driver for this modem, it might be possible to
extract the correct settings for Italy from the Windows driver. I will give
you the procedure.

Please find a ".cty" or ".inf" file included with your Windows modem driver
(you might have both) and then look for the lines starting with:

"HKR,OEM,FLAGS,1,"
"HKR,Country\XX,RELAYS,1,"
"HKR,Country\XX,FLAGS,1,"

"XX" has to be replaced with your specific country code (search for your
country name in the file).

Once you found the settings, you need to import them in the INF files under
Linux. You don't add new settings; you just need to replace the existing
ones.

To find out which file to edit, run "hsfconfig --info" and it will tell you
which INF file is used.

After saving the modified INF file, you will need to run "hsfstop", then
"hsfconfig --nvram" to regenerate the "nvram.bin" file and then try again.

Hi there, I tested the modem in France and everything wenty fine. Then 2
days ago I had the opportunity to check in Italy, and I got the
following problem: no dialtone message appears, though I can perfectly
hear the dialtone on the computer speakers! I had this type of problems
back in time with a PSION modem. Solution was to force it to dial
without waiting to recognize the dialtone, or to make him know how it
should sounds in Italy...
Can somebody tell me what could be wrong? Of course I checked that
hsfconfig was setting up the country as ITALY...
