Hi, I've searched all the archives without result.
I've Compaq evo N1020v equipped by a Conexant HSF 56k HSFi Modem (rev 1) and
running Linux Red Hat 8 with kernel 2.4.20-18.9.

I've installed the driver hsflinmodem-5.03.27lnxtbeta03042700 and it works
ok except to establish a data connection with a GSM phone (Vodafone). I
almost always obtain a NO CARRIER error after the negotiation. I've tried
all settings without result.

Then I've installed the driver hsfmodem-6.03.00lnxt03091001free with no
errors. I use microcom to send AT command to modem. With this driver the
modem responds to AT commands but isn't able to dial or RING. For example
with the command ATDxxxxxxx (or ATDxxxxxx;) I obtain an OK from modem but
the call isn't done. And if I call the telephone number line connected to
modem I don't obtain a RING response from modem.

Can anyone give me a suggestion?
