[hsflinux] modem immediately disconnects

Hello,

I have installed the free version of the hsfmodem 
package from source. The installation worked smoothly,
no problem whatsoever and the modem is correctly
identified by kppp. The problem is that when I try to
connect to the internet, the modem dials ok, it logs
in and I have acces to internet normally but only for
a few seconds. After less than a minute, the modem
disconnects by himself. And each time it's the same
thing, it doesn't stay connected long enough to allow
me to use the internet (although I can use ping to
check that I'm indeed connected). If somebody can help
