[hsflinux] dial-up interrupting after installation of "hsfmodem_7.60.00.09full_i386.deb" for Conexant HD Audio modem

Hi,

I installed on my Dell Inspiron 6400 -->Ubuntu Feisty (Kernel version:
2.6.20-16-generic) the above hsfmodem-driver. Installation terminates
with: "package installation was sucessful". However, there is a warning
that the snd_hda_intel module as well as the snd-Hda-codec module are
already in use.

When trying to dial-up the modem interrupts (please see below under
/var/log/syslog, you will also find the ModemData.txt as well as the
installation-log).

I already tried the generic package hsfmodem_7.60.00.09full_i386.deb, as
well as the pre-compiled one:
hsfmodem_7.60.00.09full_k2.6.20_16_generic_ubuntu_i386.deb plus the
tar.gz source-file, all of them confirm successful installation but upon
dial-up, the modem is interrupting.

Does any of you possibly know what it could be about?

Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Daniel

Please let me know, should you need my "hsfdiag.txt" as it is quite big.

Here is the installation-log:

8086:27d8 is a High Definition Audio card, possibly hosting a soft modem.

Lacking a dsp (digital signal processing) chip, the modem is a software
intensive or "softmodem" type. Its primary controller manages the traffic
with the CPU. But the software needed is specified in the Subsystem.
  -----------------------------------------
Support type needed or chipset: hsfmodem

Already loaded into the kernel is snd-intel8x0m and audio drivers it
depends on,
displayed by: lsmod | grep snd_intel8x0m

The diagnostic outputs for this softmodem section have their raw
information in
folders and text files under /proc/asound/ which you can browse. The
information
is from files:
