[hcflinux] Package building help needed

Thanks for the help Robert and Jonathon. I haven't had
much luck in the past with rpm2tgz; I think it's out of
sync with current rpm versions.

I will work towards a slackdist makefile target
and sent it to Linuxant when it is worthwhile.

Let me ask another question:

If I build a fresh driver from the tarball and package it,
should it then work with my license key if I run the config
program? In other words, if I reload the whole box with new
Slackware and then add the modem driver, will the config
program still use the current license key?

At what point will the license key not work on the box?
Does it break when the driver is upgraded? Does it break
if I change to another same-model modem?

I need to know what can be changed and what can't so I can
document the use of the slack package.

Thanks again for your help
Richard
